The ring is placed over the upright mandrel and expanded simply by moving the lever away from you; at the same time the ring is held in the other hand and rotated to stop distortion. The ring is then removed and turned over and the procedure repeated until the ring is the correct size. The complete operation takes only a minute or two. With care one can enlarge wedding rings without annealing up to 3 sizes, without marking or distortion. It can also be used for reducing plain wedding rings, with the revolving baseplate provided. This ring stretcher has been manufactured from cast iron and has been European designed. This ring stretcher has been designed to size plain wedding rings without stones and non-ferrous metals.
